happyZ supports: Happy Pencils and Thousand Hugs

I SUPPORT HAPPY PENCILS AND THOUSAND HUGS

The story behind supporting this project:
The first time my friend, Jess posted this project I was easily drawn to it. I found the boxes interesting and the ad well executed. I was curious about the objective of the project, the first word I saw was lapis, so it gave me the idea that it involves donating pencils :D

Why support this project:
It’s a simple move of providing assistance to young Filipino students, a small step that will eventually turn into a big leap. If more people will see the heart of this project = more kids will be helped.

Spread out this wonderful news, it can be your small step :D

happy EVENTS: Kojiesan ain't cheap

My October started with a couple of freebies and fun events thanks to Kojiesan!

I'm lucky to be part of the top 60 bloggers who won invites for the special screening of Taken 2 at Shangri-la Mall. The fact that movie tickets are quite expensive this prize is a steal plus it's the birthday of my bf's sister, talk about perfect timing! Another bonus, my blog entry was chosen as one of the top 20 best entries which included me and my plus one to an exclusive product launch at 7th High BGC. Hmm... I must be good in winning contests that involves men :D

Kojiesan's Product Launch at 7th High BGC
Let me tell you this, Kojiesan ain't cheap. Bee and I came around past 7:30pm, after the smooth registration we were ushered to our seats (the left side of the room). It was my first time to see Nicole-yala and Chris-Tsuper on stage although they were bidding goodbye and passed the mic onto "Usapang Lalake" host, Mr. Alex Calleja. Bee was entertained with his antics and comedic stints which are mostly "green jokes." I on the other hand was busy taking pictures and scouring the buffet table. The food tasted superb and far from what I've expected because usually free food tastes like crap. There were drinks served, unlimited iced tea and fruity alcoholic drinks (didn't try this though). There were a lot of media people present and celebrities as well. Atom Araullo, Jobert and Long Mejia were guest judges. The games were mostly intended for men.

It was fun watching them feel awkward on stage specially when they were asked to smell the models   to guess what Kojiesan deo spray scent each model was wearing. The bull ride was also a hit specially when Jobert and Long were asked to demonstrate how to ride it.

For the main event, Mocha Girls. Truly a show stopper! These sexy ladies know how to command attention and make the guys hot with their jaw dropping performances. Even Bee was  really focused, but in his defense he was speaking objectively and focusing on their ASSETS- dancing and singing :D To view the video, please click here

Mocha on stage, naughty games captured on screen
Hands down to the Mocha Girls for their high energy moves and naughty games that stirred up the participants and guests. Plus they gave out free copies of their Playboy Magazine issue to some of the winners. A lot of prizes were given that night, from Oakley shades to an Ipad2. A flamboyant gay guy won; we were not happy with the decision because Bee and I think that the guy wearing the white hoodie is more deserving. Also, what's the deal with having this "reporter" as one of the finalists for the IPAD, he didn't even perform well and was a bore. Oh well, just my opinion.

Next stop- Special screening of Taken 2
Kojiesan really knows how to spoil winners, free snacks by Dome and product goody bags for all guests. Before starting the film, Kojiesan gave out more prizes! Also, it was a treat watching John Spainhour struggle with Tagalog :D (too bad I don't have pictures).

Thanks Kojiesan and till' the next event :D More success!

HAPPY Z TRAVELS: Seriland

Most people search for the fountain of youth to buy back time and go back to being young again. Adults transition to being serious and wary of their actions because of status and the image they want to portray. People spends thousands just to look young but this just fills the physical need. Good thing there's Seriland, an entertainment center for kids, enjoyed by adults. It allows adults to have fun and act silly (in a non-crazy way) and feel young again.
I bought vouchers from GROUPON, P220.00 (P1,110 value) for 2 adults. We got to try the Mirror Maze, Trick Art and 3D Theater. It's a steal for the price but the biggest hassle as  always, is lining up. The worst part is claiming our tickets, there were 2 lines, one for GROUPON vouchers and the other for ENSOGO vouchers, there were no signs posted so as expected the lines got mixed up. Its so frustrating! Lining up doesn't end there, for the Trick Art Museum you have to reserve a slot on a particular time. For the Mirror Maze, you'll be given a number and you have to wait for your turn and for the 3D Theatre, you have to wait in line.

First stop: TRICK ART MUSEUM
FUN! The hassle of lining up was worth it. :D Btw, please excuse my crappy shirt, didn't have time to change. To view all of our photos please visit my facebook Happy Zombii

Second Stop: 3D Theatre
Not that good, cramped theater room, poor 3D quality.

Third Stop: Mirror Maze
Challenge: Get through the maze and find the exit as fast as you  can! A great bonding activity for couples.

Safety precautions: Wear gloves and walk with your hands in a pushing position to prevent bumping into mirrors.

It was a fun and tiring day!
FUN because of various and TIRING because of constantly lining up.

happyZ’s thrift-date: Korean Series Marathon

Last night, I came over to Bee’s place to visit their dog Mei (and him as well) before I head off to a meeting. Unfortunately, my meeting got cancelled and I decided to stay in because of the rain and did some internet research. I ate dinner there together with his family, I’m really embarrassed eating there most of the time because I feel like I’m an added expense but they’re kind enough to still invite me to eat.

I was supposed to go home after dinner but Bee asked me if I wanted to watch the Korean series we downloaded. I suggested that we just watch an episode of Breaking In (US series) because it would just run for 20min. unlike the Korean series that would run for 1hr/episode.

After watching, I asked Bee to give me a copy of the Korean series so that I could just watch it at home. He kind of implied that we watch together, so I decided to stay. We ended up watching 3 episodes, that’s 3 hours! But I guess time flies when you’re having fun. The series was really entertaining and fun to watch. It was also the perfect cuddle weather.

This is a simple date idea for those of you who are a bit short on date money but still want to spend time with your bf/gf without stressing your wallet.

Btw, speaking of Korean series, there will be a Korean Film Festival in selected SM Supermalls (please see photo). Free admission!

Spellbound: A romantic comedy with horror elements starring the beautiful actress Son Ye Jin ("Personal Taste," "April Snow"). It's about a road magician and his muse who is haunted by ghosts.

Jeon Woo Chi: The story of a playful apprentice who gets imprisoned in a scroll. He is set free 500 years later.

Bunt: A survival story of a mentally challenged child who initially fills drinking water from a kettle. His task is soon overshadowed by the arrival of a water purifier.

A Barefoot Dream: A sports drama about a former soccer prospect who goes for his dreams of joining the International Youth Soccer Championships despite hindrances.

Late Blossom: The heartwarming story of two couples who live close to each other.

Arahan: About a police rookie who's honest yet klutzy.

Highway Star: A musical comedy about a singer who dreams of becoming a rock star but is forced to play trot to make ends meet.

We’ve watched Highway Star starring Cha Tae-hyun (of My Sassy Girl).I highly recommend this comedy. You’ll be amazed by Tae Hyun’s voice. :D

Expense: the basics, electricity required :D
Quality time: 100%

“Preserving Mankind with Kojie.san Men”

“How can one preserve the concept of manliness in this modern age of liberal views and cultural influences?”

Manliness in the old days were defined by hunting skills, battle scars and a rugged physique. Men have the innate drive to gain power and be seen as the dominant specie. Man's number one role is to provide, so taking care of their looks is the least priority and often seen as a sign of a femininity.

Today, men have evolved from looking like a caveman into being clean and classy. Men are really simple, they often start with the basics- look, feel and smell good. Manly for me is being able to openly express emotion but not succumb to it, taking control and shifting to solution mode.Being openly conscious about your looks is not a sign of femininity but a responsible act  of maintaining a good personal hygiene.

Before, men have to work twice as hard than women when it comes to taking care of their skin because there were no skin care products dedicated for men and they only use what is available in the market. Seeing a man buy beauty products, often with pastel colored packaging, creates an impression of being gay and thus makes them feel ashamed. Good thing Kojie.san came up with a men's line featuring three products that will cover their basic needs.

LOOK GOOD: Kojie.san Men soap, it contains CellActive®, which accelerates healing of micro shaving cuts, improves skin’s stress resistance and develops firmness. Together with Laricyl®, it tightens the pores and moisturizes skin.

FEEL GOOD BY MOISTURIZING: Kojie.san Men Lotion contains both CellActive® and Laricyl® plus Vitamin B3, Vitamin E, shea butter and mentyl lactate. For a smooth and supple skin.

SMELL GOOD: The deodorant and body spray for that fresh and clean feel all day. Now cuddling up to your man becomes addicting.

Being open about wanting to improve oneself is manly. Learn to have the guts of a fighter and confidence of a lover by clicking on http://www.facebook.com/KojiesanMensClub

ZOMBII BRIDE: Dream Chapel

I instantly fell in love with this chapel. I've always wanted a simple yet elegant wedding just like Landon and Jamie's wedding in the movie "A walk to remember."
This is the spousal of Mary and Joseph Chapel in Club Balai Isabel, Batangas. Situated beside the ruins of a 17th century church, they say that it could be the old church of Tanauan that was destroyed by the volcano's eruption.

I love the big glass windows that allow natural lighting how simple the altar is.

By the way, I'm not getting married yet just sharing my thoughts.

To friends and readers of my blog- DIBS on this chapel! Haha :D
